Lithium-ion battery transport box, steel, 790 l, VPG 1, filling PyroBubbles®

Item number: 289647W

  • For the transport of damaged or defective lithium-ion cells and lithium-ion batteries with UN No. 3480 and 3481, which tend to react dangerously during transport, in accordance with special provision 376 for road transport (ADR) and sea transport (IMDG Code)
  • The Li-ion batteries stored inside are packed in PyroBubbles® so that there is no risk to the immediate environment
  • Due to constant developments in the field of lithium-ion batteries, in particular for performance, a case-by-case examination of the suitability of the transport container is necessary when shipping critically defective batteries. We are happy to provide you with a checklist to help determine important questions such as battery type, number and dimensions in advance.
  • In addition to critically defective batteries, the container can be used for prototypes, end of life (EOL) or for undamaged batteries
  • Control of any possible thermal runaway. Effective containment of environmental hazards. Even during and after thermal runaway of the battery, the temperature of the external walls remains well under 100°C
  • With removable lid, accessible from all sides by industrial trucks
  • Pyrobubbles® filler is included in the scope of delivery. Supplied as bagged goods. Filling can also take place via Big Bag containers as an option
  • Pyrobubbles® is an extinguishing media positive tested by MPA Dresden (according to EN 3-7) for solid and liquid combustible substances (fire classes A, B, D and F). They are the ideal filler for storing and transporting lithium-ion batteries (UN3480, UN3090) and are lighter than sand (approx. 235 kg/m³).
  • Pyrobubbles® can be collected again after each use (without accident) and are largely reusable.
  • UN 4A/X764/S/../D/BAM 15956-DENIOS
  • Safety system for transport in accordance with Special Provision 376 ADR for damaged, faulty (Packaging Instructions P 908 and LP 904) and unsafe lithium-ion batteries (Packaging Instructions P 911 and LP 906)
