At DENIOS you can find the right drum tap for every liquid and container type and size whether you require a drainage tap or drum tap manufactured from plastic, polyethylene, aluminium, steel, brass, zinc die-casting or grey cast iron.
Drum taps screw into a drum tightly to avoid leaks or spillages. Each one has a spout, which typically points downward, and can be turned on or off like a household tap. These taps allow the user to decant with extreme accuracy. Most drum taps enable nearly all of the fluid to be drained from the drum, so it never has to be rolled or tipped – a practice which can easily cause accidents.
When choosing a drum tap, it is vital to consider the diameter of the tap to ensure it will match the aperture on your drum. As part of our broad selection, we offer a Dispensing Tap For Plastic Containers to fit a 13mm drum opening. This tap is highly resistant to acidic substances and boasts a throughflow capacity of 25 litres per minute. Plastic barrel taps provide a fast and clean method of extracting fluids without excessive gurgling noises.
Formulated from high-quality materials and resistant to corrosion, our High Grade Steel Tap is a good choice in facilities where harmful chemicals are housed. This tap features an adjustable position, allowing the user to rotate and change the spout direction. It is ideal for leak-proof dispensing of flammable liquids, as it features an internal flame arrester to prevent any flash back of flames into the drum. It is also self-closing and provides a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal for more effective chemical resistance.
Cast iron barrel taps are typically used to drain thick, slow-flowing fluids that are still viscous. A brass locking plate makes these taps extremely durable, but they do need to be shut off manually. Completed by a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) seal, these taps can withstand more aggressive liquids and environments.
Brass taps are highly resistant to corrosion and won’t suffer from rust. Unlike metals containing iron, these will not generate a spark on impact. This makes our Brass Safety Valve ideal for pouring petrol or for use as an oil drum tap. It is fitted with an NBR seal for added resistance to hydrocarbon fuel and petroleum base oils.
In some industries, it is necessary to store drums horizontally, which can make them more difficult to empty completely. Our Drum Tool is made from rust-free stainless steel and allows the operator to drain the contents of a drum thoroughly. Once the drum is clear, the lid can be screwed back into position immediately, lowering the risk of leaks.
Polyethylene drum taps are designed for non-flammable corrosive liquids. These taps can be opened by giving the handle a half-turn and must be closed manually. Our PE Drum Tap can be used to drain a range of corrosive chemicals and boasts a quick, efficient outflow. For example, a 205-litre drum can be emptied in around three minutes using this tap. The union nut is made from strong, lightweight Polypropylene (PP), while the seal is manufactured from expanded polyethylene (EPE), a non-absorbent material. The rest of the tap, including the locking lever, is finished in polyethylene (PE), making our plastic drum taps almost completely recyclable.
